Day 143

My horse Thalia is the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. Even if she is slightly fat, the ins and outs of her body never cease to amaze me. Today's photo is a macro of her mouth and nose, which are very different from our own and extremely fascinating. I did not edit this photo, as I loved the natural colors and lighting already displayed.

Day 127

Today's photo is a portrait of two of my favorite subjects; my brother Noah and my horse Thalia. Noah was so cute because he would try to feed her out of his hand, but would drop the grass and run as soon as she moved her head up to eat it. In this shot I had finally convinced him that Thalia knew the difference between carrots and fingers.

Day 120

This morning I present a portrait of a hen my brothers hatched out earlier this summer. Actually, there's two sisters in this photo, the second being in the background. I love how it looks almost like the front hen is reflected in the background and out of focus but is in sharp focus in the foreground.  I thought the bright pinks of the combs and oranges of the beaks were pretty distracting, so I applied the black and white effect then added dark edges to make it look more like a portrait.

Day 82

This is a photo of one of my grandpa's two bottle calves. His name is Burr. My little brother and I enjoy watching him feed the calves, and whenever we come home Noah (my brother) will talk about giving Burr his milkshake.

Day 52

Here is a photo I took this weekend of one of the feeder pigs my brother, sister, and I bought. I converted the photo to black and white, and then added dark edges.
