Day 111

This morning we got quite a bit of rain. I went out to get some early morning shots, and found myself continually drawn to my mom's tiger lillies. I loved the reflective quality of the water droplets and the bright orange color of the flower.

Day 110

I'm back! I'm so sorry I haven't posted, but what with the county fair and getting ready for the state fair I haven't gotten a chance. And I will be heading up to the state fair soon, so I won't be posting regularly. Today is a macro of the sweater I wore today. The sweater is hot pink and silver striped, but I felt that when it was in color all you saw was the bright pink color, and the detail of the knitting was lost. I love the little sparkly threads in the yarn, and how they catch and reflect the light randomly, especially in the background.

Day 109

I've been super busy getting ready for fair, so I haven't posted much. But today I decided I would share this photo I took of my little brother yesterday when he was trying on a suit he was taking to the fair as a clothing project. He was really an excellent model and did exactly what I told him to. I made the photo black and white because the green shirt he was wearing blended in with the green foliage in the background. I then added dark edges to give it a finished professional look.

Day 108

Today's picture is of a tiger lily out in my mom's garden. I used the Focal Black and White effect, then faded it so the flowers in the background retained some of the original color. I had the center of the flower remain the original to draw attention to it and create a more definite focal point.

Things are starting to get crazy in my house getting ready for the county fair next week. Starting next Monday I probably won't be able to post for the whole week. In fact, I might miss one or two days this week as well.

Day 107

Yesterday morning my little brother got out his favorite baby bunny to hold while my mom and I checked the other rabbits. It was so cute how the bunny just sat there while Noah carried him around everywhere that I couldn't resist taking a bunch of pictures. I'm not sure why Noah is sticking his tongue out like that, I assumed it had something to do with repositioning his rabbit at the moment this shot was taken. Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Day 106

Today I dropped by the river to find today's photo. I like the way that the leaves sort of frame the river behind them. I added the dusk effect because the lighting was bad today due to the heat and sun glare.

Day 105

This is a macro of my brand new boots. I rotated it though so it would fit better on the blog. I also made it black and white so that only the pink and yellow accent stitching was colored.

Day 104

I'm back! The conference was awesome, and I had an amazing time. Unfortunately you couldn't take your camera many places at the conference so I didn't get many photos. Today's photo is of the banquet that was held Wednesday night. The tables and people on the ground are pretty out of focus because it is such a long way from the top where I was standing when I took this. I left the seats of the stadium the original color, but painted everything else black and white to reduce the noise.
